The definition of streaming video

Streaming video is any moving video that plays within your web browser, rather being downloaded to your computer’s hard drive. An example would be video you watch at www.youtube.com, an online movie trailer, Quicktime or Windows Media Player video from the internet. Flash Video is the most common Streaming Video format today, because over 95% of new computers have Flash player installed out of the box, so there is rarely a need to download the plugin for most browsers, although it is available for free download at anytime.

The Color Bindery offers a unique card product that enables you to order a custom greeting card or invitation, and have a web link printed on the card that can go to a customized streaming video that we will host just for your card recipient. It can be an audio clip, a custom prepared photo slideshow, animation, video clip from one of our custom DVD products or a home video clip.
