Diversity in Communications Expo set for September

The National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC) recently announced the Diversity in Communications Career Expo. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm, at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City, and is being held in conjunction with the 22nd Annual NAMIC Conference.

The expo presents an optimal platform for employers seeking to access a diverse pool of qualified individuals. Free of charge and open to the public, attendees of the Career Expo include registrants of the NAMIC Conference, other professionals seeking new opportunities in the cable and communications industry, and those seeking to launch new careers.

Exhibitors confirmed to date for the Diversity in Communications Career Expo include A&E Television Networks, Black Enterprise, Cablevision, Charter Communications, Comcast, Cox Communications, Discovery Communications, ESPN, Fox Networks Group, Hearst Magazines, HBO, Lifetime Networks, MTV Networks, NBC Universal, Public Broadcasting Corporation, Scripps Networks, Sinclair Broadcast Group, Rainbow Media Holdings, Time Warner Cable and Turner Broadcasting.
