Live Design 2008 unveils new options for professional designers

LDI 2008, the leading US tradeshow and conference for live design professionals, will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, October 20-26. This year’s event will feature an expanded menu of training and product demonstrations, including exclusive backstage training at Cirque du Soleil’s KA and Mystere, plus Le Reve and Lake Of Dreams at The Wynn Resort.

Advanced Entertainment Services will host a professional-level class on special effects and equipment, from systems and real-life applications to compliance and safety. The workshop will be led by Gregory Meeh, award-winning special effects designer, founder and president of J&M Special Effects and Matt Dillingham, president of Advanced Entertainment Services

LDI 2008 will also feature four days of professional audio training presented in conjunction with Meyer Sound, plus a full day of intensive wireless and wired microphone training with Shure. Meyer Sound’s program will include sessions on Fundamentals of System Design, Introduction to Matrix3 and MAPP Online Pro.

Mix magazine will offer MixLive at LDI, a three-day event where leading manufacturers can meet face- to-face with top engineers and buyers. MixLive will feature onsite workshops with leading manufacturers and front-of-house engineers; after-dark tours of the Strip’s hottest nightspots; and video, podcasts, blogs, breaking news and comprehensive coverage from a central Web site.
